Job summary

SATechnologies is hiring for an MCU Networking & Diagnostics Engineer in Pune. You will design and configure MCU networking stacks (CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet) and develop diagnostic services using UDS, DoIP, and OBD.

You will work with AUTOSAR modules and ensure interface contracts and traceability across teams. The role demands strong embedded C on automotive MCUs, knowledge of vehicle networks, ASPICE practices, and collaboration with cybersecurity and validation teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C development and debugging on automotive MCUs.
• Experience with CAN, CANFD, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, DoIP, UDS, ISO-TP, OBD.
• AUTOSAR Classic communication and diagnostic BSW configuration and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure MCU networking and diagnostic stacks for CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet and SOME/IP.
• Develop and integrated diagnostic services using UDS, DoIP, OBD, DTC management, diagnostic sessions and security access.
• Configure AUTOSAR communication and diagnostic modules (COM, PduR, CanIf, CanTp, Dcm, Dem, NvM).
• Translate signals and interfaces into maintainable software configurations and contracts.
• Implement network management, wake-up/sleep handling, timeouts and degraded-mode behavior.
• Perform bench, SIL, HIL, and vehicle-level debugging with traces and logs.
• Ensure bidirectional traceability from requirements to verification.
• Coordinate with system, BSW, application, validation, cybersecurity teams for releases.

Requirement/Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure MCUcommunication stacks for CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, and transportprotocols based on project architecture.
• Develop and integratediagnostic services using UDS, DoIP, OBD, DTC management, diagnostic sessions,security access, and routine control.
• Configure AUTOSAR communicationand diagnostic modules, including COM, PduR, CanIf, CanTp, Dcm, Dem, NvMinterfaces, and Ethernet-related services where applicable.
• Translate customer signaldatabases, diagnostic specifications, and network descriptions intomaintainable software configurations and interface contracts.
• Implement network management,wake-up and sleep handling, communication control, timeout supervision, bus-offrecovery, and degraded-mode behavior.
• Perform bench, SIL, HIL, andvehicle-level debugging using traces, bus logs, diagnostic logs, and MCUruntime measurements.
• Ensure bidirectionaltraceability from networking and diagnostic requirements through design,implementation, configuration, and verification evidence.
• Coordinate with system, BSW,application, validation, cybersecurity, and customer teams to resolve interfaceissues and deliver production-ready releases.

Required Experience and Competencies

• Strong embedded C developmentand debugging experience on automotive microcontrollers.
• Hands-on knowledge of CAN, CANFD, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, DoIP, UDS, ISO-TP, OBD, and vehicle networkmanagement concepts.
• Experience with AUTOSAR Classiccommunication and diagnostic BSW configuration, integration, and issueanalysis.
• Ability to interpret DBC,ARXML, ODX, CDD, diagnostic extracts, signal matrices, and customer interfacespecifications.
• Proficiency with bus analyzers,debuggers, diagnostic testers, oscilloscopes, and log-analysis methods.
• Good understanding of ASPICEengineering practices, functional safety awareness, cybersecurity constraints,and disciplined defect resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Vector CANoe,CANalyzer, CANape, DaVinci Configurator/Developer, EB tresos, or equivalentautomotive tools.
• Exposure to bootloaders, securediagnostics, OTA or flash programming, Ethernet test tools, scripting, and testautomation.

Education

Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science,Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalentrelevant industry experience may also be considered.

• Own networking and diagnosticdelivery outcomes with clear interface governance, risk communication, andtimely escalation.
• Promote reusableconfigurations, coding discipline, peer reviews, automation, and evidence-basedengineering decisions.
• Coach engineers in protocolanalysis, systematic debugging, customer communication, and cross-domain issueresolution.
