Job summary

PeopleStrong in Mumbai is seeking a Planning Incharge to lead project planning and scheduling for construction projects. You will develop baseline schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely milestones while controlling costs and resources.

You will prepare detailed schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, identify critical paths, track daily/weekly progress, and coordinate with site teams to support timely delivery. Experience in high-rise residential construction is required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in construction.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Scheduling: Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Progress Monitoring: Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline plans.
• Coordination: Work with construction, engineering, procurement and subcontract teams.
• Resource & Cost Planning: Assist in resource loading and cost monitoring.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly planning reports and dashboards.

Job Description

The Planning Incharge will be responsible forproject planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control for construction projects. The role involves preparingbaseline schedules, monitoring project progress, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring timely completion of project milestones while maintaining cost and resource efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

Preparedetailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.

Developbaseline schedules, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and project timelines.

Identifycritical path activities and monitor schedule risks.

Progress Monitoring

Trackdaily, weekly, and monthly progress against baseline plans.

PrepareMIS reports, dashboards, and progress presentations for management review.

Conductdelay analysis and recovery planning.

Coordination

Coordinate withconstruction, engineering, procurement, and subcontract teams to ensure alignment with the project schedule.

Participate inproject review meetings and planning discussions.

Resource & Cost Planning

Assist inresource loading, manpower planning, and equipment planning.

Supportcost monitoring and productivity analysis in coordination with project controls.

Reporting

Prepareweekly/monthly planning reports.

Update project schedules and provide early warnings for potential delays.

Identify potentialschedule risks and mitigation plans.

Support preparation ofExtension of Time (EOT) and claim documentation when required.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Experience

5–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in high rise residentialconstruction projects.

Technical Skills

Strong working knowledge of:

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Excel (advanced reporting)

Knowledge ofconstruction methodologies and sequencing.

Understanding ofEVM (Earned Value Management) is preferred.
