Project Site
The Manager – Plant & Machinery (P&M) will be responsible formanaging all plant and machinery operations at the construction site, ensuring availability, proper utilization, maintenance, and safety of equipment required for construction activities.
The role involves overseeingequipment planning, machinery deployment, maintenance schedules, and coordination with project teams to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.
Plan and manageplant and machinery requirements for the entire project site.
Ensure timelymobilization and deployment of construction equipment as per project schedules.
Coordinate with project management teams to forecastmachinery requirements for upcoming construction stages.
Oversee daily operations ofconstruction equipment and machinery including tower cranes, hoists, batching plants, concrete pumps, bar bending machines, bar cutting machines, compressors, and other site equipment.
Ensure properutilization and operational efficiency of all machinery deployed at site.
Develop and implementpreventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all plant and machinery.
Ensure timelyrepair and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime.
Monitor equipment performance and address technical issues promptly.
Ensure all plant and machinery are operatedin compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.
Conduct regularsafety inspections for machinery and lifting equipment.
Ensure operators follow properequipment handling procedures and safety protocols.
Coordinate withequipment suppliers, rental vendors, and service providers for machinery procurement and servicing.
Monitor vendor performance and ensuretimely maintenance and support services.
Monitorequipment utilization and operational costs.
Optimize machinery usage toreduce idle time and improve cost efficiency.
Track fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, and operational costs.
Maintain records ofequipment inventory, maintenance logs, and operational reports.
Track machinerydeployment, usage, and downtime.
Prepare periodicP&M reports for project management.
SuperviseP&M engineers, technicians, and equipment operators at the site.
Ensure propertraining and competency of machinery operators and technical staff.
Strong knowledge ofconstruction equipment and machinery used in high-rise projects
Experience managingtower cranes, hoists, batching plants, concrete pumps, and heavy construction equipment
Knowledge ofequipment maintenance practices and troubleshooting
Familiarity withequipment safety standards and statutory compliance
Proficiency inMS Excel and equipment tracking systems
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to managemultiple equipment operations simultaneously
Good coordination withconstruction and project management teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
