Job summary

Maier Vidorno Altios in Bengaluru is seeking a Material Planner to schedule and manage production materials, ensuring a smooth supply chain and timely availability.

You will work with SAP ERP, Excel, and cross-functional teams; fluency in English is required, Kannada is highly preferred, with 1–3 years in mechanical/electrical or automotive supplier roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 1-3 years’ work experience in mechanical, electrical or automotive supplier industry.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong Excel skills.
• Fluent English; Kannada preferred; Hindi or other languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the scheduling and disposition of production materials in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• You ensure a smooth and uninterrupted material supply.
• You schedule materials accurately in terms of quantity and timing (JIT - Just in Time).
• You maintain and update data regularly. You continuously adjust disposition parameters on a rolling basis.
• You estimate material requirements based on experience while considering cost-effectiveness.
• You select sources of supply in accordance with order book specifications and taking replenishment lead times into account.
• You handle and process complaints.

WHO CAN APPLY

• 1-3 years’ work experience, preferably in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or the automotive supplier industry.


• Experience with working in a corporate environment, ideally within a matrix organization (interface role).


• Solid IT proficiency and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong Excel skills.


• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.


• Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Proficiency in Kannada is highly preferred. Knowledge of Hindi or additional regional languages is considered an advantage.
