Zafin is seeking a Research Analyst to join its Market Intelligence team in Trivandrum/Chennai, India. The role focuses on market research, data analysis, and data governance to support strategic decisions and new product launches across regions.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of experience in consulting/financial services, strong SQL and Excel skills, and familiarity with scraping tools. A bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is a plus. Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Market Research & Analysis: conduct detailed market research using primary and secondary sources to support decision-making and product launches across geographies.
• Data Analysis & Validation: analyse and validate data for global offerings, identify variances, and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Utilise web scraping tools to capture and review public data; conduct regular data audits for ongoing accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:

• Market Research & Analysis: Conductdetailedmarket researchusing primary and secondary sourcesandprovideanalysis to support strategic decision-makingand launch ofnew productsacross various geographies

DataAnalysis & Validation:

• Analyseandvalidatedata for key global productofferings/platform, working closely withProduct andAI/Analyticsteamsacross regions.Identifyvariances and apply relevant data guidelinesto ensure consistency and quality of data

• Identifydiscrepancies and variances in captured data values.

• Apply data guidelines to filter relevant data changes and ensure consistency across datasets.

• Utilisewebscraping toolsto capture and review relevant and available public data

• Banking Industry Knowledge: Agoodunderstanding of the banking industry and basic knowledge of banking productswill be a plus.

• SQL Proficiency: Experience with SQL querying for data analysis.

• Excel & PowerPoint: Strongproficiencyin Excel (Lookups, Pivot, etc) and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.

• AI Tools: Ability to work with AI tools to enhance data analysis and workflow efficiency

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors/master's in finance/economics/business/ engineering, or a related field (BA/B.Sc/B.Tech). An MBA from a premier university is a plus.

• Experience: 1-3 yearsof experience as an analyst, preferably within a Big Four/Strategy Consulting/Market Research firm. Experience in the banking or financial services industry is an advantage.
