Zafin is seeking a Lead Technical Consultant in India to design, implement, and deliver enterprise-grade software solutions for regulated banking environments. Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or technical consulting experience in SaaS or banking tech.
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end software or integration solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in client-facing discussions, design reviews, and project delivery.
• Proficient in Agile delivery environments and production troubleshooting.

What is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the Senior Product Architect, the technical lead will provide solutions to technical issues and will be responsible for meeting development schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements. As a Lead Technical Consultant, you combine deep technical expertise with strong client engagement skills. You understand the complexities of enterprise banking environments - from core systems and data integrations to modern SaaS architectures. You will bring hands-on engineering experience and customer empathy to every engagement. This role blends software engineering, delivery, and customer advocacy.

What Will You Do?1. Solution Implementation and Delivery Excellence

• Able to design, build, and implement enterprise-grade software solutions aligned with customer and platform requirements.
• Able to develop well-structured, testable, and efficient code across application and integration layers (Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, PostgreSQL).
• Ensure solution quality through rigorous testing, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
• Lead technical tasks from requirements gathering through deployment.
• Troubleshoot implementation issues and collaborate with teams to resolve them efficiently.

2. Customer Engagement and Technical Partnership

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Translate business objectives into technical designs and configuration approaches.
• Conduct technical workshops, design reviews, and demonstrations to build client confidence.
• Support delivery and ensure a seamless transition from implementation to production.
• Maintain ongoing engagement with customer technology teams to support solution stability and evolution.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Enablement

• Collaborate with product engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to align implementations with Zafin’s platform strategy and standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying reusable patterns and best practices.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and communities of practice to strengthen team capabilities.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers or consultants.

4. Operational Support and Quality Assurance

• Assist in post-implementation support and troubleshooting, ensuring system reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor production performance and coordinate with operations teams to ensure uptime and data integrity.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle, integration patterns, and modern API architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with banking systems and data integration frameworks in enterprise financial services environments.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Customer Engineer, preferably in SaaS or banking technology implementations.
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end software or integration solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Apache Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Demonstrated client-facing experience managing technical discussions, requirements, and expectations.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum, TDD/BDD).
• Experience troubleshooting complex, distributed systems in production environments.
• Application development experience in large enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.
