Job summary

Maa Dayalu Fertilizers and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd is seeking a proactive Market Development Officer to drive growth in the assigned territory by supporting dealers, engaging with farmers, and promoting scientific crop nutrition.

You will conduct product demonstrations, organize farmer meetings, and visit customers regularly to identify opportunities and boost demand. The role requires 1–3 years in Agri inputs, a relevant agriculture degree, willingness to travel, and a two-wheeler.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification: B.Sc. (Agriculture) / M.Sc. (Agriculture) / B.Tech (Agriculture) or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–3 years in Agri Inputs, Fertilizers, Seeds, or Crop Nutrition.
• Age preference: 23–32 years.
• Technical knowledge: Crop Nutrition, Product Demonstration, Farmer Advisory, Market Development.
• Computer proficiency: MS Office, CRM, Mobile Reporting Applications.
• Other requirements: Two-wheeler with valid license; willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Promote MDFC products within the assigned territory and support sales objectives.
• Visit dealers regularly and engage with farmers; conduct meetings and demonstrations.
• Develop progressive farmers; establish demonstration sites and field days.
• Provide crop-stage-specific recommendations and collect market feedback.
• Maintain CRM records and documentation; submit reports as required.
• Assist in investigations of technical issues and comply with company policies.

The Market Development Officer is responsible for driving market development within the assigned territory by supporting dealers, engaging with farmers, conducting technical promotional activities, and generating sustainable product demand. The role serves as a vital link between the Company, channel partners, and farmers while supporting business growth through technical extension, market intelligence, and effective execution of field development programmes.

• Market & Business Development
• Promote MDFC products within the assigned territory.
• Support achievement of territory sales objectives.
• Identify new market opportunities and potential customers.
• Visit assigned dealers regularly.
• Conduct farmer meetings and village awareness programmes.
• Visit farmers regularly and provide crop-stage-specific recommendations.
• Develop progressive farmers and demonstration sites.
• Promote scientific crop nutrition practices.
• Technical Development
• Conduct product demonstrations and product trials.
• Establish and monitor demonstration plots.
• Support field days and crop seminars.
• Assist in investigation of technical complaints.
• Collect competitor information, pricing trends, crop conditions, and market feedback.
• Submit Daily Activity Reports, Weekly Tour Plans, and Monthly Reports.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and documentation.
• Compliance
• Follow Company policies, SOPs, Code of Conduct, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of Company information and customer data.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
