Job summary

Crestline Maritime Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent to coordinate and lead inspections, including oil major vetting and onboard navigation audits. The role focuses on vessel attendance, deficiencies follow-up, and coordinating with external audit/training providers.

The ideal candidate will have extensive seagoing experience, strong knowledge of maritime regulations, and a track record in ship vetting and terminal operations, with willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12–14 years of seagoing experience.
• Minimum 3–4 years sailing as Marine Superintendent on Chemical/Oil/Gas Tankers.
• Experience in ship vetting by major oil majors is advantageous.
• Maritime certifications such as Chief Officer or Master's license are beneficial.
• Experience in ship and terminal operations and knowledge of maritime regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up oil major vetting inspections.
• Attend vessels for marine and pre-vetting inspections and record deficiencies.
• Conduct annual onboard navigation audits and update audit databases; follow up deficiencies to closure.

Job description

Quality and Compliance

• Assist in coordinating, arranging and timely follow up Oil Major Vetting Inspections as directed.
• Attend vessels to conduct Marine Inspections and pre-vetting inspections or vetting assistance as directed. Ensure follow-up of all deficiencies noted during vessel attendance is recorded and filed in the common drive.
• Conduct annual onboard navigation audits, preferably during a short voyage. Input navigation audit results into the navigation audits database and follow up on all deficiencies and defects to closure.
• Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of accidents.
• A member of ASL Emergency Response Team.
• Assist in arranging external safety audits and onboard training by co-coordinating with the appointed audit or training company.
• Follow up in cosmetic upgradation (Painting)
• Monitor and support all vessels (In coordination with OPS) on operational issues (Loading / discharging / tank cleaning / grade change.

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 - 14 years experience (at sea)
• Minimum 3 - 4 year sailing experience as Marine Superintendent on Chemical / Oil / Gas Tankers
• Sailing experience and focus on Chemical & Gas tankers is an advantage
• Hold relevant maritime certifications such as Chief Officer’s certificate or Master’s license (added advantage)
• Experience in Ship Vetting by majors, Ship and Terminal Operations
• Knowledge of maritime regulations
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative and willingness to travel
