Job summary

Synergy Marine Group in India seeks a Marine Superintendent to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient vessel operations from shore. You will oversee navigation, cargo, health, safety and environmental aspects, align with SMS procedures, IMO and flag regulations, and support audits and inspections.

The role requires Master Mariner with FG and senior Bulk Carrier experience; you will drive continuous improvement, investigate incidents, and coordinate with CMS for RCA and ISM/ISPS/MLC audits while

Qualifications

• Master Mariner with FG certification.
• Experience as Master on ocean-going vessels, preferably bulk carriers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company SMS procedures, forms and checklists.
• Ensure compliance with IMO, Flag, and port state regulations.
• Coordinate security-related compliance and incident response.
• Conduct incident investigations and root-cause analysis; report findings.
• Arrange and support ISM/ISPS/MLC audits and reviews.
• Maintain KPI targets for the fleet and drive continual improvement.

Job description

To provide shore support to vessels by handling their day to day operational issues in accordance with the company guidelines, port specific requirements, flag, and international regulations.

This involves the overseeing of the daily operations of vessels with specific importance given to Navigation, cargo, occupational health, safety, and environment aspects.

Ensuring that the vessels are operated in a safe and efficient manner, which will ensure reduced or zero incidents, and directly ensure satisfied clients and in line with our company’s QHSE policy, for a better and brighter development of business.

E ligibility Criteria:

• Master Mariner - FG
• Sailed as Master onboard Ocean-going vessels.
• Vessel type: Bulk Carriers experience in Senior rank
  

The Marine superintendent is accountable for the following:

1) Compliance with company SMS procedures, forms, and checklists.

2) Compliance with IMO, Flag, and port state regulations.

3) MACN policy compliance.

4) Security related compliance.

5) Contingency assistance to the vessels at any time.

6) Ensure favourable results from PSC, Rightship, Flag, Class, P&I, third party inspections and audits.

7) Incident investigation, Root cause analysis and report making.

8) Extending hand to CMS for the compliance of Incident Investigations and RCA.

9) Carrying out and arranging of ISM/ISPS/MLC audits.

10) Ensuring that the vessels are technically managed keeping within the barriers of our SMS.

11) Ensure that the KPIs declared for the fleet are maintained.

12) Continual Improvement to be determined, monitored, and accomplished.

13) Any amendments needed in the SMS to be informed to the management.

14) Ensure to be a helping hand to the company and its team and a person to be looked upon.
