Synergy Marine Group is seeking a seasoned Marine Superintendent to provide shore support for vessels, focusing on day-to-day operations, navigation, cargo, health, safety, and environment. The role requires delivering safe, efficient vessel operations in line with the company SMS.

The successful candidate will hold a Master Mariner FG with ocean-going vessel experience, especially on tanker/oil/chemical trades, and will oversee compliance with IMO and port regulations while driving continuous

• Experience on tankers carrying oil/chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SMS procedures, forms, and checklists are followed.
• Ensure compliance with IMO, flag, and port state regulations.
• Ensure MACN policy compliance.
• Oversee security related compliance.
• Provide contingency assistance to vessels as needed.
• Aim for favorable PSC, RightShip, Flag, Class, P&I inspections.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate ISM/ISPS/MLC audits.
• Ensure vessels are technically managed within SMS limits.
• Maintain fleet KPIs as declared by the company.
• Drive continual improvement to SMS and processes.
• Inform management of SMS amendments.
• Support company and team with proactive leadership.

Job Purpose:

To provide shore support to vessels by handling their day to day operational issues in accordance with the company guidelines, port specific requirements, flag, and international regulations.

This involves the overseeing of the daily operations of vessels with specific importance given to Navigation, cargo, occupational health, safety, and environment aspects.

Ensuring that the vessels are operated in a safe and efficient manner, which will ensure reduced or zero incidents, and directly ensure satisfied clients and in line with our company’s QHSE policy, for a better and brighter development of business.

E ligibility Criteria:

• Master Mariner - FG
• Sailed as Master onboard Ocean-going vessels.
• Vessel type: Tankers with Oil/ Chemical experience.

The Marine superintendent is accountable for the following:

1) Compliance with company SMS procedures, forms, and checklists.

2) Compliance with IMO, Flag, and port state regulations.

3) MACN policy compliance.

4) Security related compliance.

5) Contingency assistance to the vessels at any time.

6) Ensure favourable results from PSC, Rightship, Flag, Class, P&I, third party inspections and audits.

7) Incident investigation, Root cause analysis and report making.

8) Extending hand to CMS for the compliance of Incident Investigations and RCA.

9) Carrying out and arranging of ISM/ISPS/MLC audits.

10) Ensuring that the vessels are technically managed keeping within the barriers of our SMS.

11) Ensure that the KPIs declared for the fleet are maintained.

12) Continual Improvement to be determined, monitored, and accomplished.

13) Any amendments needed in the SMS to be informed to the management.

14) Ensure to be a helping hand to the company and its team and a person to be looked upon.
