Job summary

PeopleStrong in Coimbatore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Lead for missile programs. You will drive process planning, tooling design, and supplier collaboration to ensure robust EPC execution and on-time delivery.

The role requires 10–15 years in aerospace/defense mechanical systems, hands-on experience with UG, HyperMill, SolidWorks, and ERP tools (BAAN/SAP), and knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• Good Process Planning knowledge in Mechanical systems/sub-systems & components, preferably from Aerospace, Space and Defence domain.
• Sound Knowledge of Tool design for Mechanical Subsystems.
• Proficiency in UG, HyperMill and SolidWorks; ability to develop jigs/fixtures for mechanical & welded subassemblies.
• Experience in identify/develop Robust Supply chain Partners in Machining/Fabrication & Special processes; manage EPC contracts with suppliers/partners.
• MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) & ERP systems like BAAN/SAP.
• ISO 9001 & AS 9100 knowledge is preferred; ensure ToT to supplier and FTR in processes.
• Procurement knowledge for mechanical propulsion sub-systems per project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead process planning for mechanical subsystems and assemblies.
• Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and processes to meet quality and schedule.
• Coordinate with suppliers to establish EPC-like contracts and monitor performance.
• Manage procurement activities and purchase orders with supplier deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS 9100 and internal QMS guidelines.
• Utilize MS Office and ERP tools to track progress and issues.
• Assess risks and mitigate issues across contracts and sub-systems.
