Job summary

WhiteSlips Job Management Consultants in Uttarakhand, India, seeks an Operations Leader to oversee the power cable manufacturing plant. The role centers on achieving production targets, improving processes, and driving cost efficiency while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will mentor production managers, engineers, and supervisors, coordinate with Sales and Finance, and lead CAPEX initiatives to expand capacity and upgrade equipment in line with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end power cable manufacturing operations ensuring targets, timely delivery, efficiency, and cost control.
• Develop production managers, engineers, supervisors, and operators while fostering safety and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards; oversee QC, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Oversee maintenance and asset management for high uptime and spare availability.
• Ensure HSE compliance and drive initiatives to minimize incidents.
• Manage plant budgets and drive cost optimization across materials, energy, and processes.
• Manage supply chain and vendor relations; ensure timely raw materials and optimized inventory.
• Ensure legal/regulatory compliance and manage audits.
• Lead CAPEX projects and capacity expansion on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, HR, and management to align operations with objectives.

Job description

• Operations Management: Lead end-to-end power cable manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, timely delivery, process efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop production managers, engineers, supervisors, and operators while driving a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and high performance.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications; oversee quality controls, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintenance & Asset Management: Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance, high equipment uptime, effective asset utilization, and availability of critical spares.
• HSE: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and drive initiatives to minimize workplace incidents.
• Cost & Budget Management: Manage plant budgets and drive cost optimization across materials, energy, manpower, and processes while monitoring key operational KPIs.
• Supply Chain & Vendor Management: Ensure timely availability of raw materials, optimize inventory, and manage key supplier/vendor relationships.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, manage audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Projects & CAPEX: Lead capacity expansion, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and CAPEX projects within approved timelines and budgets.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, senior management, customers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to align plant operations with business objectives.
