Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with a strong background in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in assembly of complex aero-structure components and 4–5 years in NPI for medium/large assemblies.
• Experience with Airbus and/or Boeing components is advantageous.
• Proficient in IE techniques: Time Study, VA/NVA analysis, and process improvement.
• Familiar with AS9145 APQP or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive improvements.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Role purpose

Provide technical leadership and expertise to support both operational and development programs, with a focus on delivering zero-defect products. This role is accountable for defining and deploying robust, reliable machining processes for detailed aerospace components, using strong engineering principles and problem-solving skills.

Key accountabilities

• Demonstrates a strong safety-first mind-set and adheres to all GKN Aerospace Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Breaks down technical requirements assess, risks and provide logical solution to deliver high-quality, zero-defect products.
• Performs Industrial Engineering (IE) activities such as planning, scheduling, time studies, and process optimization for complex aerostructure components.
• Communicates complex technical ideas clearly to various audiences and ensures alignment and understanding.
• Anticipates technical challenges and provides effective solutions.
• Perform APQP activities like capturing product and process requirements, preparation of PFD, PFMEA

Technical Expertise

• Proficient in assembly of complex aero structure components, with hands-on experience in NPI for medium and large assemblies of at least 4-5 years
• Experience with Airbus and/or Boeing components is a strong advantage.
• Skilled in Industrial Engineering techniques including Time Study, Value-Added (VA) & Non-Value-Added (NVA) analysis, and process improvement.
• Experience in should-costing is an added advantage.
• Familiar with AS9145 APQP or equivalent advanced product quality planning processes.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and events to drive improvements.
• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace) with strong background in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficient in engineering and project tools: CATIA V5, Siemens NX, MS Office, MS Project, ERP, PDLM, CAD, and Minitab.
