Job summary

Alten in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering specialist to coordinate industrialization activities for new work packages with AIRBUS guidelines. You will interface with suppliers, drive APQP-compliant processes, and validate engineering deliverables using tools like CATIA and SAP.

The role requires close collaboration across departments to ensure timely, compliant tooling and process development.

Qualifications

• Experience interfacing with suppliers and manufacturing engineering in aerospace-like programs.
• Understanding of APQP processes and ability to assist suppliers to adapt to APQP.
• Familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and manufacturing deliverables.
• Knowledge of CATIA, SAP, and related IT tools as used in industrialization workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as interface between suppliers and Manufacturing Engineering for industrialization topics.
• Support suppliers to adhere to Airbus technical guidelines.
• Provide progress status to AIRBUS through technical review meetings.
• Participate in Industrial reviews with AIRBUS and suppliers, assisting APQP/KBD assessments.
• Validate engineering deliverables against AIRBUS supplier requirements and close gaps.

Job Description

Act as an Interface between Supplier and for Manufacturing Engineering topics for the Industrialization of the new work package.

• Interacting and collaborating on behalf of Airbus with all the relevant departments within suppliers.

• Support and enable suppliers to adhere to all technical guidelines by AIRBUS.

• Status reporting on the Industrial Progress to AIRBUS on a regular basis through technical review meetings.

• Participate and perform Industrial reviews with AIRBUS and Suppliers through APQP KBD assessments. Assist Suppliers to adapt to the APQP process.

• Validate manufacturing engineering deliverables for AIRBUS supplier requirements and provide technical skills to close identified gaps.

• Support and manage the specific tooling development and acceptance. (Concept, Design, Manufacturing, Certification of specific tooling).

• Provide in depth knowledge of AIRBUS industrialization processes and guidelines.

• Hands on experience on CATIA, PASS SSI, ATAME, G-Suite, APQP IT tool, TAKSY MS office.
