Job summary

Multinational Pharmaceutical Company is seeking a hands-on Manager – Third-Party Sourcing & Portfolio Development for International Markets, based in India (preferably Mumbai/Western India). You will identify Indian manufacturers, CMO/CDMO partners, and finish-formulation suppliers; build a supplier network and develop opportunities for international markets.

This role requires coordinating cross-functionally with RA, QA, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and PPIC, negotiating terms and driving

Qualifications

  • 6–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical third-party sourcing, contract manufacturing or finished-formulation procurement.
  • Strong network of Indian finished-formulation manufacturers or third-party suppliers.
  • Experience handling multiple products, SKUs or brands simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of commercial terms (MOQ, batch size, transfer pricing, COGS, margins, payments, delivery).
  • Exposure to regulatory, quality, packaging, artwork and documentation during onboarding.
  • Ability to coordinate RA, QA, legal, finance, supply chain and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage Indian finished-formulation manufacturers, third-party manufacturers, CMO/CDMO partners and dossier owners.
  • Build and maintain a strong supplier network across India.
  • Source multiple finished-formulation product opportunities suitable for international markets.
  • Evaluate supplier product lists and convert them into prioritized product baskets.
  • Negotiate or support negotiation of transfer price, MOQ, batch size, payment terms, delivery timelines and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Packaging, Artwork and PPIC teams.
  • Track product opportunities from supplier identification to commercial evaluation, documentation readiness and launch preparation.
  • Prepare concise business cases and supplier comparison summaries.
  • Maintain structured trackers for supplier discussions, product pipeline, pending documents, commercial terms and next steps.

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on professional to support international portfolio expansion through third-party sourcing, external manufacturing partnerships and finished-formulation product development.

The role will focus on identifying, evaluating and converting relationships with Indian pharmaceutical manufacturers, CMO/CDMO partners, third-party suppliers and dossier owners into commercially viable product opportunities for international markets.

This is an individual-contributor role requiring strong manufacturer relationships, commercial negotiation ability and end-to-end execution discipline.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 6–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical third-party sourcing, external manufacturing, contract manufacturing, finished-formulation procurement, CMO/CDMO coordination, product sourcing, tech transfer, new product launch or portfolio development.
  • Strong network of Indian finished-formulation manufacturers or third-party suppliers.
  • Experience handling multiple products, SKUs, suppliers or brands simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of commercial terms such as MOQ, batch size, transfer pricing, COGS, margins, payment terms and delivery timelines.
  • Practical exposure to regulatory, quality, packaging, artwork and documentation requirements during product onboarding.
  • Ability to coordinate across RA, QA, legal, finance, supply chain, procurement, PPIC and external partners.
  • Strong Excel, follow-up and tracking discipline.
  • Good communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a hands-on execution role.

  • Pharmacy background is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has strong finished-formulation sourcing and supplier-management experience.
