Job summary

Tractebel, part of the ENGIE group, is seeking a Deputy Manager or Manager in Renewable Energy Consulting to shape the technical backbone of solar projects from feasibility to commissioning in Gurgaon. The role offers growth into project management while contributing to meaningful assignments across India and beyond.

You will conduct energy yield assessments, prepare feasibility studies, and support pre-bid and owner’s engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Energy Studies, Energy System Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Solar Energy.
• 4–8 years of experience in renewable energy, preferably in consulting.
• Proficiency in PVsyst, SAM, AutoCAD, Google SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with lender's engineering or independent engineering assignments.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work across solar, wind, hybrid, and storage projects.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to collaborate across geographies and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare techno-commercial feasibility studies, detailed project reports, and resource assessments independently.
• Support pre-bid engineering, detailed engineering design, and owner's and lender's engineering assignments.
• Review power purchase agreements and technical contracts as part of due diligence processes.
• Perform sizing studies for energy storage systems across different use cases.
• Assess the performance of operational solar and wind power plants.
• Manage project timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and deliver within budget and scope.
