Job summary

Tractebel, part of ENGIE, seeks a skilled Solar Power Plant Electrical Engineer (Manager/Sr. Manager) to design and deliver renewable energy projects in India.

You will work on technically complex solar PV projects from feasibility through detailed design, supporting project teams, clients, and partners across the full engineering lifecycle. You will design DC/AC systems, develop layouts, perform electrical calculations, and produce technical reports and feasibility studies, contributing to

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of solar PV plant design across DC and AC sides.
• Experience with PVsyst or SAM for energy yield analysis.
• Familiarity with IS, IEC, IEEE, and guidelines from CEA, CERC, and MNRE.
• Ability to prepare Techno-commercial feasibility studies and resource assessments.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for technical reporting.
• Wind power or battery storage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design DC and AC systems for solar PV plants, including cable routing, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Develop General Arrangement Layouts covering inverter stations, main control rooms, and plant infrastructure.
• Perform electrical calculations including cable sizing, earthing design, and battery sizing.
• Conduct electrical system studies such as short circuit analysis, load flow, and relay coordination.
• Support pre-bid engineering, owner's engineering reviews, and detailed design deliverables.
• Prepare feasibility studies, Detailed Project Reports, and energy yield assessments independently.
• Produce clear technical documents, reports, and presentations to project specifications.

You will work on technically complex solar PV projects from early feasibility through to detailed design. Your expertise will directly support project teams, clients, and partners across the full engineering lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Demonstrated ability to prepare Techno-commercial feasibility studies and resource assessments.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for technical reporting.
• Experience in wind power projects or battery storage is a valuable plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently.
