Job summary

ENGIE India is seeking an experienced transmission line professional to lead the execution of EHV/HV lines for solar PV projects across India, with on-site responsibilities at multiple Rajasthan project sites. The role covers survey through commissioning, ensuring timely grid connection and high quality standards.

You will coordinate with EPCs, utilities, and internal teams, manage ROW clearances, enforce IS/IEC and CEA compliance, and drive safety on site, delivering testing and handover to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7–12 years of experience in transmission line construction (33 kV to 400 kV and above).
  • Hands-on experience in tower erection, stringing, OPGW installation, and line commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of CEA regulations, utility requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, monitor productivity, and resolve site-level challenges.
  • Experience with renewable energy evacuation systems and STU/CTU coordination is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and project reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end execution of transmission line works, from route survey through to line charging and commissioning.
  • Supervise foundation works, tower erection, stringing, and OPGW installation across project sites.
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, utilities, and internal teams to align transmission milestones with project schedules.
  • Lead Right of Way acquisition efforts and secure statutory clearances from STU/CTU, highways, railways, and local authorities.
  • Enforce quality compliance with IS/IEC standards, CEA regulations, and approved technical specifications.
  • Drive HSE requirements on site, support safety audits, and lead incident investigations when needed.
  • Manage testing, commissioning, and successful handover to Operations & Maintenance teams.

We are looking for an experienced transmission line professional to lead the execution of EHV/HV lines for our solar PV projects across India. You will drive construction from survey to commissioning, ensuring our renewable energy reaches the grid on time and to the highest standards.

What You'll Do
