Job summary

BE Chemicals / BE Mechanical is seeking an experienced CAPEX procurement professional for Mumbai corporate office. The role focuses on large-scale CAPEX execution, strategic sourcing, and contract finalisation for chemical manufacturing projects.

Candidates should have 10–14 years in project procurement, vendor development, and engineering spares, with site liaison across multi-sites to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale CAPEX procurement execution, strategic sourcing, contracting.
• Ability to ensure accuracy in engineering calculations leading to correct equipment design and dimensions.
• Understanding of CAPEX proposals, floating enquiries, collating offers and negotiating.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute CAPEX procurement across multi-site projects.
• Liaise with site SCM and technical teams to ensure procurement supports project timelines.
• Support vendor development, process rating and contract finalisation for turnkey projects.
• Regular site visits to ensure procurement supports project/shutdown activities within timelines.

BE Chemicals / BE Mechanical with 10 years plus experience working with any Chemical Manufacturing Company (10 to 14 Years) in Project Purchase / Capex Procurement

• Candidate shoud have eperience in large-scale CAPEX procurement execution, strategic sourcing, contracting
• Ensure accuracy in Engineering calculations leading to correct design and dimensions of equipments and spares.
• Understanding of Project documents like CAPEX proposals, floating enquiries collating offers and negotiating
• understand the tech transfer process
• New Vendor Development & Process and rating
• Handling, evaluating and finalising contracts, Turnkey projects, consultancy jobs, outsourcing
• Regular site visits and supporting the technical and site SCM team to guaranty that project/shutdown activities are completed within project/shutdown timelines

Position is based at Mumbai Corporate office
