Procurement Executive – CAPEX

Job Purpose
To support senior project management team to screen, evaluate and identify suppliers and vendors for supply of material/technology/expertise as required as per the budgetary approvals.
Principal Job Accountabilities
- Analyzing markets and supply/demand dynamics
- Modeling costs and prices
- Distilling market insights
- Develop system to ensure the right cost model
- Maintain pipeline of capex material
- Effective and proactive liaison with other departments to forecast, plan and meet purchase and service deadlines
- Timely delivery of goods and execution of service in a cost‑effective manner to the utmost satisfaction of internal customers
- Develop buying strategies that optimize the potential value of supply markets and integrate them into the overall project budget
- Define procurement objectives
- Select options and perform risk analysis
- Review consistency and progress
- Ensure timely procurement of capex material
- Achieve percentage improvement in cost of ownership
- Assist in buyer selection
- Global vendor development for existing and new products
- Review existing supplier base
- Define standard selection criteria
- Develop new vendors and manage vendor relationships
- Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and supplies
- Monitor delivery schedule and follow up for on‑site delivery
- Evaluate vendor base in terms of time, cost, quality and delivery
- Ensure timely release of payments as per agreement/payment terms
- Enrich level of relationship with vendors and vendor relationship management
- Evaluate vendor performance, compliance, sustainability and integrity
- Ensure all activities are compliant with all laws of land and statutory requirements
- Conduct all operations of function, ensuring social responsibility and accountability following company guidelines
- Be responsible for ethical operation under control
- Prevent, detect and report bribery and other forms of corruption, including breach of code of conduct and company regulations
- Avoid activities that could lead to or imply breach of code of conduct, anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption policies
- Knowledge of taxation practices

Educational Qualifications
- Minimum: BE in (Chemical/Mechanical)
- Preferred: B.E./B.Tech (Chemical preferred)

Experience
3–6 years total experience. Minimum 4 years in procurement of capex material in a specialty chemical/agrochemicals/chemical/pharma company. Must be conversant with SAP and have experience handling fabricated items.
