About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Assistant Procurement Manager to strengthen our procurement team. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in sourcing semiconductor and electronic components, developing supplier relationships, evaluating vendor quotations, and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing. The candidate will play a key role in vendor development, procurement strategy, cost optimization, and ensuring timely and competitive quotations for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new domestic and international suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, authorized distributors, and independent suppliers.
- Continuously expand the vendor network to improve sourcing capability and pricing competitiveness.
- Assess vendor performance based on pricing, quality, delivery, and service.
Procurement & Quote Analysis
- Analyse quotations received from suppliers considering pricing, lead time, MOQ, authenticity, packaging, and commercial terms.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Identify alternate sourcing options for hard‑to‑find and obsolete components.
Vendor Comparison & Commercial Review
- Review procurement team's vendor comparison reports for accuracy and commercial viability.
- Recommend the most suitable sourcing option based on cost, reliability, lead time, and risk.
- Ensure procurement decisions align with company profitability targets.
Sales Support
- Finalize and release the best commercial quotation to the Sales team.
- Work closely with Sales to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Provide procurement insights on market trends, shortages, and pricing fluctuations.
- Support urgent customer requirements with quick sourcing solutions.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor semiconductor market trends, allocation situations, and pricing movements.
- Track manufacturer updates, EOL (End of Life), and PCN (Product Change Notification) announcements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and alternative sourcing.
Process Improvement
- Maintain procurement documentation and vendor databases.
- Ensure timely closure of RFQs and purchase activities.
- Drive continuous improvements in procurement efficiency and sourcing strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor or electronic components procurement.
- Experience working with manufacturers, franchised distributors, and independent distributors.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor product categories including ICs, Microcontrollers, Power Devices, Passive Components, Sensors, Connectors, and Memory products.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, import procurement, and international sourcing.
