Job summary

John Cockerill is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team in Madurai. You will manage invoices, SAP sales orders, payments, and receivables with accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with projects, stores, Exim, and GST teams to ensure timely billing and reporting.

• Experience in invoicing and accounts payable processes.
• Familiarity with GST/tax compliance.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, and track invoices to internal and external customers via mail, email, or electronic systems.
• Prepare various SAP sales orders and coordinate with controlling teams for revenue accruals.
• Track actual payments and apply them to correct accounts, coordinating with banking teams.
• Monitor outstanding receivables monthly, follow up on overdue amounts, and resolve billing issues with customers.
• Generate detailed reports on billing activities and payments for management review.
• Ensure all billing practices comply with GST and income tax regulations and support auditors.
• Collaborate with Projects, Stores, factory dispatches, Exim, accounts, GST, etc.
• SAP, Emails, MS Teams, and MS Office are used for daily tasks.

• 1 Invoice Management Prepare, Issue, and track invoices to internal and external customers through mail, email, or electronic systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• 2 Preparation and Cordination Prepare various types of SOA (sales orders) in SAP related to various types Billing (ie GST/Debit /Credit Note/ Financial Invoices etc). Cordiination with controlling teams for revenue accruals and billing related matter.
• 3 Payment Processing Track actual payments by the customers and apply them to the correct accounts and maintain updated financial records in co-ordination with banking teams.
• 4 Account Montoring Track outstanding customer receivables on monthly basis, follow-up on overdue amounts and resolve any billing issues/discrepancies by communicating with customers.
• 5 Reporting Generate detailed reports on billing activities, accounts statuses, and payment collections for managenment review.
• 6 Compliance and Accuracy Ensure all billing practices adhere to company standards, financial regulations, GST & Income tax compliance and Catering to Internal and External Auditors requirement
• 7 Collaboration Work closely with relevant stakeholders such as Projects, Stores, factory despatches, Exim, accounts, GST, etc.
• 8 Technical Skills Financial knowledge of SAP, Emails, teams, MS Office.
