Kores is seeking a procurement professional in India to handle end-to-end procurement of mechanical parts, steel, castings, and related components. The role emphasizes strict policy adherence, cost optimization, and cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth material flow and quality across projects.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on ERP/SAP experience, robust negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of taxation and procurement compliance to drive continuous improvement and supplier

Responsabilidades

• Handle day-to-day procurement activities for mechanical parts, steel, castings, hydraulic, pneumatic, and allied engineering products.
• Ensure adherence to purchase policies, SOPs, and compliance norms.
• Manage commercial and taxation aspects of procurement, including pricing, duties, and statutory requirements.
• Lead price negotiations and implement alternate vendor strategies to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Coordinate with Planning, Stores, Engineering, and Quality to optimize material flow, cost, and quality.
• Develop and onboard new vendors with focus on cost reduction, quality, and delivery performance.
• Support cost improvement and value engineering initiatives across purchased components.
• Ensure accurate documentation and workflow using ERP / SAP and MS Office.
• Oversee inventory management and material flow processes (MR, indent, PO, GRN, QC, stock, challan, reconciliation).
• Promote team collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders.

Role & responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day procurement activities for mechanical parts, steel, castings, hydraulic, pneumatic, and allied engineering products.
• Ensure strict adherence to purchase policies, standard operating procedures, and compliance norms.
• Manage commercial and taxation aspects of the procurement process, including pricing, duties, and statutory requirements.
• Lead price negotiations and implement alternate vendor selection strategies to ensure cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Coordinate closely with Planning, Stores, Engineering, and Quality departments to achieve smooth material flow, optimal costing, and consistent product quality.
• Develop and onboard new vendors with a focus on cost reduction, quality improvement, and delivery performance.
• Support cost improvement and value engineering initiatives across purchased components.
• Preferably handle procurement related to mining drill machinery parts, with application knowledge of drilling rigs being an added advantage.
• Ensure accurate documentation and systematic workflow using ERP / SAP systems and MS Office tools.
• Oversee and monitor inventory management and material flow processes, including MR, indent, PO, GRN, QC, stock, challan, and reconciliation.
• Promote strong team collaboration and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of engineering procurement, including mechanical, steel, casting, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Sound understanding of commercial terms, taxation, and procurement compliance.
• Hands-on experience with ERP / SAP systems and documentation processes.
