Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited invites an experienced Project Manager in Chennai to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to production. You will coordinate COE, Platform, Product Planning and Manufacturing to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive, PMP is advantageous, and strong skills in budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication. You will work with design, engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure gateways are met and

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engg, Production or Manufacturing.
• PMP Certification is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and listening skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate responses and proposals from COE to Platform for new product requests.
• Prepare and manage project budget with inputs from key stakeholders.
• Prepare and sign off project plans across COEs, Project team, CDMM, SSU and Manufacturing from concept to production.
• Identify risks, prioritise risks, plan risk response and track them.
• Track project milestones and mitigate critical issues with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate design for assembly and manufacturing readiness withEngineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Resolve conflicts between aggregates and drive resolution.
• Plan resources aligned to project delivery.
• Monitor budget with inputs from Platform Finance and ensure adherence to approved limits.
• Release project progress reports to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with quality planning to prepare gateways and ensure clearance.
• Maintain Open Points List for the project and close issues.

Job Description:

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. 1. Facilitate responses & proposals from COE to Platform for new product requests from Product Planning.
2. 2. 3. Prepare budget with inputs from key stakeholders and facilitate approvals
3. 3. Prepare and signoff project plans with aggregate COEs & Project team, CDMM , SSU & Manufacturing. (From concept to production)
4. 4. Identify risks, prioritise risks , plan risk response and track them
5. 5. Track & monitor projects as per signed off project plan. Collaborate with the team for identifying risks & critical issues. Plan , execute & track risk mitigation & mitigation actions (for critical issues) with the CFT. Ensure project milestones are met on time.
6. 6.Facilitate production related activities (Design For Assembly, Mfg. readiness) with various stakeholders (Engineering, Manufacturing, Component development team & Plant)
7. 7. Conflict resolution between aggregates and facilitate resolution .
8. 8. Resource Planning - Ensure availability of resources aligning to the project delivery.
9. 9. Monitoring of project budget with inputs from Platform Finance and ensure adherence within approved limits.
10. 10. Release of project progress reports with insights to stakeholders, management as per defined frequency.
11. 11. Work with quality planning & CFT to prepare for gateways and ensure adherence and clearance of the same.
12. 12..Maintain OPL (Open points list) for the project, track open issues to closure.

Experience

8-12 years

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engg / Production / Manufacturing
• PMP Certification will be an added advantage
