Job summary

Peoplefy Infosolutions is seeking a Manager- PPC lead in Mangalore. This role drives PPC activities for the DCMF Plant, optimizing resources and minimizing waste while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate will oversee production planning, scheduling, and cost estimation for proposals and execution. Responsibilities include outsourcing planning, back-up scheduling, SOPs, and plan-vs-actual analyses.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical discipline and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in project planning, supply chain and vendor coordination.
• Strong analytical and data handling skills with ERP exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop production schedules based on drawings, methods, quality plan and orders.
• Estimate manufacturing cost for proposals and maintain during execution.
• Plan outsourcing and in-house work content to optimize throughput.
• Control time schedules and prepare back-up plans for on-time delivery.
• Prepare material kit lists and generate workstation plans.
• Plan special in-factory outsourcing and estimate resource overloads.
• Generate standard operating procedures and plan vs actual data.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and customer calls with QA.
• Support project managers and monitor production processes for bottlenecks.
• Plan logistics and ensure dispatches are complete.

Manager- PPC lead

Lead PPC activities for DCMF Plant operates efficiently and effectively, by optimizing resources, 1. Internal Stakeholders minimizing waste, and maximizing efficiency. 2. External Stakeholders

Responsibilities

• 1.Developing production schedules: To study the drawings, methods plan, quality plan and accordingly do the production planning and production schedules based on customer orders, resource availability, shop capability and production capacity. They must ensure that schedules are realistic, achievable, and balanced.
• 2.Estimate the cost of manufacturing for proposals and maintain the same cost during the execution.
• 3.Plan outsourcing and in-housework content.
• 4.Accurately control the time scheduled and keep the back up plans ready to ensure, on time delivery.
• 5.Prepare and provide the material kit lists to shop feeder cell with help of look ahead planning.
• 6.Generate and control the workstation plans.
• 7.Plan special process in-factory outsourcing.
• 8.Estimation of overloads and argument the resources like human resource, space, machines, tools.
• 9.Generate standard operating procedures.
• 10.Generate the plan vs actual data.
• 11.Minimise the project inventory.
• 12.Organize the Third-party inspection/ customer calls with help of QAC.
• 13.Support the project managers in their activities.
• 14.Digital Monitoring of production processes: monitoring production processes data to ensure that they are operating efficiently and effectively. Identify/ predict bottlenecks and other issues that may impact delivery by production and take corrective action as necessary.
• 15.Plan logistics.
• 16.Ensure the completeness of dispatches of equipment

• 4. MS office, prima vera, AutoCAD, SAP5. Close collaboration among design, engineering, fabrication, and Quality teams to ensure Equipments meet quality, safety, and performance standards

Primary Skills

• 1. Manager-level understanding and ownership of PPC activities.
• 2. SAP awareness/working knowledge.
• 3. Team management experience is mandatory.
• 4. Chassis manufacturing experience as discussed.
• 5. Fabrication exposure skid and piping fabrication, gas cutting, etc.; relevant mass-production experience can also be considered.
• 6. Experience managing in-house fabrication overload.
• 7. Primavera P6 preferred; if not, strong hands-on Excel experience is mandatory.
• 8. Routing, material kitting, workstation loading, baseline schedules, earned progress, plan-vs-actual and dispatch forecasting.
