Job summary

Linde Bhilai is seeking a Manager – O&M, Onsite Operations to oversee 24/7 plant operations, troubleshoot issues, support startups, and ensure safety and SHEQ compliance. You will mentor juniors and align internal teams to implement best practices and improve reliability.

The role requires 7–10 years of operation experience in chemical/fertilizer settings and a degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Instrumentation engineering, with strong commercial and contract-management skills. On-site Bhilai, India.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Instrumentation.
• 7–10 years’ operation experience in chemical/fertilizer plants, ASU preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and contract-management ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24x7 plant operations and rapid troubleshooting.
• Support plant startups and ensure process safety and SHEQ compliance.
• Train junior engineers and mentor seniors as needed.
• Coordinate with customers for product requirements and communications.
• Ensure adherence to standards, rules, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare monthly operation reports and efficiency calculations.
• Drive reliability improvements in operations.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• You will support for plant operation job in all shifts (Morning / Evening / Night) along with troubleshooting of plant if it has tripped
• You will use your ability to act proactively for any critical parameter of plant operation so that Plant/ machine will not tripp plant trippage can be avoided
• In this role you will be responsible for improving reliability of plant by taking swift actions in operation alone or with seniors and juniors
• You will co-ordinate customer for hassle free communication for their product requirement
• Further in this role you will support operation department to follow all standards, rules regulations, safety for improvement of person and plant
• You will be responsible for monthly reports, efficiency calculations
• Also you will take care training of junior engineer for plant understanding and running it in efficient way

• Should have a degree of Engineering Chemical/ mechanical/ Instrumentation, additionally applications experience will be an added advantage with seven to ten (7 to 10) years’ experience in operation department of any chemical / fertilizer industry ASU will be preferable
• Own high level commercial skills and acumen
• Required to have an ability to understand and articulate large ASU schemes and diagnostic skills related to the customer portfolio
• In addition, you need an advanced negotiation capability with superior, contract management skills combined with exceptional customer relationship abilitie
