Job summary

Tata Communications is seeking a senior Fiber Project Delivery Lead responsible for end-to-end fiber rollout at the circle level. You will manage customer interfaces, vendors, and internal teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with quality standards.

The role requires 10–15 years of fiber project delivery experience and strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management to drive successful project outcomes across multiple functions and partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end Fiber Rollout Project Delivery including planning, ROW management, material reconciliation, vendor coordination, and customer interface management.
• Demonstrate leadership to manage teams, partners, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Apply project lifecycle knowledge: planning, execution, monitoring, risk and change management, closure.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and delivery of commitments.
• Ensure adherence to milestones, safety standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive vendor and partner governance ensuring compliance with contracts and SLAs, and timely closing of delivery dependencies.
• Conduct quality audits and acceptance to ensure deployment meets standards.
• Utilize PM tools and GIS platforms for tracking, reporting and resource planning.

Broad outline of the Role

• Responsible for managing Fiber Project Delivery Lead at circle level. This includes- Customer handling, vendor management, customer change requests, platform uptime, incident management, problem management, CFT / OEM Interlock, Quality management and escalation support for the delivery. This is an Project role, responsible for delivering results that have a direct impact on day-to-day operations and capable of instructing professional or technical staff and reviewing the quality of the work undertaken by these roles.

Minimum Qualifications Experience

• Graduation with 10-15 years of Fiber Project Delivery experience

Job Responsibility

1. Responsible for end-to-end Fiber Rollout Project Delivery, including project planning, execution, Right of Way (ROW) management, material planning reconciliation (RECO), vendor management, stakeholder coordination, and customer interface management, ensuring delivery within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams, partners, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders while driving project objectives.
3. Possess a thorough understanding of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, change management, and project closure.
4. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, issue resolution, and consistent delivery of project commitments.
5. Ensure adherence to project milestones, monthly delivery targets, quality requirements, statutory regulations, safety standards, EHS compliance, and industry best practices.
6. Monitor project progress, identify risks and bottlenecks, including ROW, material availability, and RECO-related challenges, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project completion.
7. Drive vendor and partner governance by ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, SLAs, operational requirements, and timely closure of delivery dependencies.
8. Conduct quality audits, inspections, and acceptance processes to ensure deployment meets customer and organizational standards.
9. Leverage project management tools and digital platforms for project tracking, reporting, resource planning, material governance, and performance monitoring.
10. Hands-on experience with telecom deployment and project management tools such as Airtel Works, FF1, Google Earth, Lepton, and other relevant project delivery and GIS applications.
