The role involves undertaking M&A and divestments under the guidance of the core group, related to strategic financial activities, including acquisitions, divestments, mergers, demergers, fund raise, restructuring, diligence, valuations, financial modelling, etc.
Key responsibilities for M&A include ensuring timely completion of valuation exercises, due diligence reports, assisting with legal and commercial aspects in legal documentation, working with tax advisors as required, and presenting updates to management. This also involves maintaining an M&A tracker and engaging closely with all external parties involved in M&A transactions.
Maintaining relationships with investment banks, due diligence firms, valuation firms, law firms, etc., in all matters related to M&A and related aspects, along with senior management, is crucial.
Preparing M&A presentations, including valuation and due diligence findings, M&A tracker updates, and submissions to the Board for consideration and evaluation of proposed transactions, is also part of the role.
The position requires working with various company departments such as Accounts, MIS, Company Secretarial, Corporate Communications, Tax, and others for M&A opportunities and assets under evaluation.
