Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a seasoned SCM professional to lead end-to-end procurement for 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects. You will drive supplier engagement, ensure timely, safe delivery, and maintain strong adherence to contractual and quality standards within a large engineering environment.

The role requires deep experience in project procurement management for AIS/GIS substations, plus a proven ability to build robust procurement structures and processes in India.

Qualifications

13-16 years of SCM experience in a large multinational Engineering setup.
Strong understanding of direct supply market structure, demand-supply dynamics and supplier economics.
5-7 years domain hands-on experience in Electrical equipment project management, engineering or manufacturing.
Solid understanding of Project Procurement Management for Substation AIS & GIS business.
Experience in setting up procurement structures, systems and processes.
Extensive external contacts in the Indian supply industry.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects while ensuring safety, profitability and on-time delivery.
Ensure compliance with customer, contractual, quality and EHS requirements.
Drive procurement strategies and stakeholder alignment across functions and vendors.

How You'll Make an Impact

13-16 years of progressive experience in SCM with large multinational Engineering / 5-7 years as an expert in the Project Procurement Management domain.S
Should have a good understanding of direct supply market structure, demand supply dynamics, and supplier economics.
Domain hands on experience for 5 to 7 yrs in Electrical equipment project management, engineering or manufacturing is highly desired.
Should have a good understanding of Project Procurement Management of Substation AIS & GIS Business.
Experience of having set up structure, systems and processes in Procurement areas.
External orientation with extensive contacts in the supply industry, particularly in India.

What You Bring

B.E / B.Tech in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical); Post graduation in Engineering / Operations / Finance (Preferable)

Our product portfolio includes AIS (upto 800 kV), GIS (upto 420 kV), Power Transformers (upto 765 kV, 500 MVA), Reactors (upto 765 kV), Traction Transformers (upto 33 kV, 10 MVA). We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology.
