Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive end-to-end procurement for 220 kV GIS/AIS substations. You will oversee project procurement management, develop structures and processes, and ensure safe, on-time delivery in line with contractual and EHS requirements.

The role requires 13–16 years in SCM within multinational engineering and 5–7 years in project procurement, with strong India supplier networks and cross-functional collaboration across engineering,

Qualifications

• 13–16 years progressive experience in SCM in large multinational engineering environments.
• 5–7 years expert level in Project Procurement Management.
• Strong understanding of direct supply market structure, demand-supply dynamics and supplier economics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects.
• Ensure safe, profitable and on-time delivery in compliance with customer, contractual, quality and EHS requirements.
• Set up procurement structures, systems and processes in procurement areas.
• Maintain extensive India-based supplier contacts and external orientation.

Lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects, ensuring safe, profitable and on-time delivery in compliance with customer, contractual, quality and EHS requirements.

How Youll Make an Impact

• 13-16 years of progressive experience in SCM with large multinational Engineering / 5-7 years as an expert in the Project Procurement Management domain.S
• Should have a good understanding of direct supply market structure, demand supply dynamics, and supplier economics.
• Domain hands on experience for 5 to 7 yrs in Electrical equipment project management, engineering or manufacturing is highly desired.
• Should have a good understanding of Project Procurement Management of Substation AIS & GIS Business.
• Experience of having set up structure, systems and processes in Procurement areas.
• External orientation with extensive contacts in the supply industry, particularly in India.

What You Bring

• B.E / B.Tech in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical); Post graduation in Engineering / Operations / Finance (Preferable)

Our product portfolio includes AIS (upto 800 kV), GIS (upto 420 kV), Power Transformers (upto 765 kV, 500 MVA), Reactors (upto 765 kV), Traction Transformers (upto 33 kV, 10 MVA). We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology. Further, we off er an extensive range of services for the complete lifecycle of the High Voltage /Extra High Voltage asset and projects including bay extension, substation modernisation, product retrofitting and overhauling, emergency services, breakdown services, Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), maintenance contracts, O&M contracts and spares.
