Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a mechanical engineer with hands-on experience in turbo machinery to translate thermal calculations into construction drawings and BOMs for HP & LP inner casings, diaphragms, turbine shaft and blades.

You will support manufacturing, quality and site teams, ensure design documentation quality, and apply engineering judgement to resolve critical issues during revamp and fabrication.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical from reputed institute.
• 3 years hands-on experience with AutoCAD and NX for 3D modelling and 2D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of steam turbine.
• Team player with engineering judgement.

Responsibilities

• Convert thermal calculations into construction drawings and BOMs for HP & LP inner casings, stationary diaphragms, turbine shaft & blades, sealing shells.
• Reconstruct turbine components by special solutions during revamp scope.
• Translate site measurement/reverse engineering data into manufacturing drawings for flange-to-flange matching.
• Ensure and maintain documentation and drawings quality to meet design specifications.
• Provide support to manufacturing, shop assembly, quality and site for resolving critical technical issues.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Experienced in turbine design and revamp engineering, translating thermal calculations and reverse-engineering data into manufacturing drawings and BOMs, while ensuring design quality, technical compliance, and resolution of critical engineering issues.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Responsible to convert all the thermal calculations into construction drawings and Bill of Materials for HP & LP inner casings, stationary diaphragms, turbine shaft & blades, sealing shells, IN ORDER TO meet the design requirements in line with the customer/quality specifications.
• Reconstruction of the turbine components by special solutions during Turbine revamp scope.
• Translate site measurement / reverse engineering data into manufacturing drawings so that flange to flange matching in foot-print replacement is achieved.
• Ensure and maintain the quality of documentation & drawings, ensure adequacy of specifications in order to meet the quality / construction requirements of design.
• Provide support to manufacturing, Shop assembly, Quality, site for resolving critical technical issue by detailed study & root cause analysis.

What You Bring

• B.E. / B. Tech. (Mechanical) from reputed institute.
• 3 Years’ hands on experience & skill set in AutoCAD, NX for 3D modelling as well 2D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of steam Turbine.
• Team player and able to provide quick solution with engineering judgement
