Siemens Energy India Limited seeks an Electrical Site Engineer to lead electrical installation, erection and commissioning at project sites in India. You will coordinate with clients, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure safety, quality and timely delivery of activities and deliverables.

The role requires hands-on electrical experience, ability to read drawings and schematics, and strong teamwork and communication across cross-functional groups. Travel to project sites will be expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Job Description:

A Snapshot of Your Day (Electrical Site Engineer)

As an Electrical Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of electrical installation, erection, and commissioning activities at project sites. You will work closely with clients, contractors, vendors, and engineering teams to coordinate site operations, resolve technical challenges, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical activities, reviewing engineering deliverables, supporting commissioning efforts, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. You will contribute to project success by driving effective stakeholder collaboration, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring timely execution of site activities. We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled professional with strong expertise in electrical systems, site execution, and commissioning activities.

How Youll Make an Impact

• Manage and oversee all electrical installation, erection, and commissioning activities at project sites, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project requirements.


• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to address technical queries, resolve site issues, and clarify scope during project execution.


• Follow up with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and spare parts required for site operations.


• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support site requirements and review engineering deliverables, vendor documents, and technical specifications.


• Review and interpret detailed engineering drawings, datasheets, installation layouts, cable schedules, cable tray routing, logic diagrams, and control room layouts.


• Inspect, verify, and approve electrical equipment, systems, and accessories to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.


• Verify and certify bills related to electrical activities while maintaining compliance with contractual and project requirements.


• Identify site-specific challenges and recommend design modifications or engineering improvements to optimize project execution.


• Conduct quality inspections of incoming materials and supervise electrical installation activities to ensure adherence to approved standards and procedures.


• Support troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and field instruments, ensuring reliable system performance and operational readiness.


• Manage the installation and commissioning of transformers, substation panels, switches, pumps, motors, lighting systems, and other electrical equipment.


• Conduct cable routing surveys, finalize equipment and instrument locations, and provide site inputs to support complete design engineering and project execution.

What You Bring

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.


• Hands-on experience in electrical site execution, erection, installation, and commissioning activities.


• Strong understanding of electrical systems, field instrumentation, and industrial electrical equipment.


• Ability to read, interpret, and work with engineering drawings, schematics, layouts, and technical documentation.


• Experience in commissioning and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment.


• Strong knowledge of quality standards, safety practices, and site management procedures.


• Excellent coordination and communication skills with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.


• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.


• Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.
