Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited (SEIL) is seeking a Buying Professional to manage end-to-end procurement with emphasis on RFQs, POs, vendor onboarding, and third‑party workforce deployment. You will ensure compliance with SEIL policies, EHS requirements and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate in logistics, supply chain management or mechanical engineering with 3–5 years of procurement experience.
• Experience in procurement within Energy Services is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices and service contracts.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on SAP MM and databases experience.
• Sound understanding of P2P processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure procurement activities comply with SEIL policies, Code of Conduct, procurement guidelines and EHS requirements.
• Issue RFQs to approved service contractors and suppliers in line with SEIL terms and EHS rules.
• Execute end-to-end procurement from PR/RFQ to final material procurement with operations/project management collaboration.
• Timely execution, tracking and issuance of Purchase Orders to prevent delays.
• Manage deputation of short- and long-term third-party service personnel with complete documentation.
• Register new vendors ensuring all statutory and compliance documents are in place.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to measure procurement function effectiveness.
• Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when needed.

Buying Professional with experience in end-to-end procurement, vendor management, and supplier performance monitoring. Skilled in managing RFQs, purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and third-party workforce deployment while ensuring compliance with SEIL policies, procurement guidelines, Code of Conduct, and EHS requirements. Adept at collaborating with project and operations teams to ensure timely material availability, technical compliance, and smooth project execution. Strong understanding of supply markets, supplier economics, KPI development, and driving supplier performance improvements in delivery, quality, and responsiveness.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Ensuring procurement activities are carried out in compliance with Siemens Energy India Ltd. policies, Code of Conduct, procurement guidelines, and EHS requirements.
• Floating RFQs to approved service contractors and suppliers in line with SEIL General Purchase Terms & Conditions and EHS requirements.
• End-to-end execution from Purchase Requisition (PR)/RFQ stage to final material procurement-with close collaboration with operations /project management teams for ensuring compliance of technical specifications. Close cooperation and exchange with internal and external stakeholders.
• Timely execution, tracking, and issuance of Purchase Orders to prevent project delays and maintain smooth site operations.
• Managing deputation of short-term and long-term third-party service personnel, including complete documentation, commercial processing.
• New vendor registration by ensuring all statutory, commercial, taxation, and compliance documents are complete as per SEIL requirements.
• Should have a good understanding of direct supply market structure, demand supply dynamics, and supplier economics.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement function.
• Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

What You Bring

• You should be a graduate degree in logistics, supply chain management or Engineering in Mechanical with 3 - 5 years of experience.
• Proven experience in procurement, preferably within Energy Services domain
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations, with a focus on service contracts and projects.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM Module and databases is mandatory.
• Detail oriented, ability to prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed decisions quickly.
• Comprehensive knowledge of P2P (Purchase to Pay) processes
