Job summary

Brindavan Phosphates in Panoli seeks a seasoned Manager Finance & Accounts to lead the finance function, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver accurate financial reporting for manufacturing operations.

You will supervise GL, close books monthly, prepare MIS, manage taxation (GST, TDS, IT), and drive process improvements with ERP enhancements. Strong leadership and stakeholder communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Qualified with CA/CMA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
  • Experience in finance & accounts, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, ROC and statutory filings.
  • Experience in audits, MIS and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Position : Manager Finance & Accounts
Location : Panoli
Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Manager Finance & Accounts (F&A) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day Finance & Accounts operations of the organization.
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books of accounts.
  • Finalise financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review MIS reports, financial analysis, and management reports.
  • Review General Ledger, trial balance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Preparing periodical reports from Financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
  • Ensuring proper documentations and records keeping for every accounting event that occurs.
  • Preparing monthly Input data in accordance to GST laws for Filing of GST returns also Ensuring Accounting Entries to be passed in accordance to Income Tax Act 1961.
  • Review TDS workings and ensure timely deduction, payment, and statutory filings.
  • Review GST workings, reconciliations, input tax credit (ITC), and GST return filings.
  • Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, ROC, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and file ROC forms, annual returns, and statutory declarations.
  • Liaise with auditors, consultants, bankers, and government authorities.
  • Manage cash flow, fund utilisation, and working capital requirements.
  • Review and authorise net banking payments and banking transactions.
  • Approve net banking beneficiary additions and maintain banking controls.
  • Handle banking relationships, documentation, and communications.
  • Review accounts payable processes and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Handle vendor communications and resolve payment-related queries.
  • Review and approve debit notes and credit notes before forwarding them to clients.
  • Verify payroll processing, salary payments, and labour wage calculations.
  • Supervise petty cash management and reimbursement processes.
  • Coordinate quarterly stock audits and inventory verification activities.
  • Monitor inventory reconciliation and strengthen inventory controls.
  • Ensure timely bank reconciliations and accurate accounting records.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow statements, and variance analysis reports.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and ERP optimisation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and delegated authority limits.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to support business operations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of financial information.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Additionally, the candidate must be ready to take up the challenges for any new responsibilities assigned to them.
  • Perform any other finance and accounts responsibilities assigned by the management.
Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Education & Experience
  • Qualification: CA / CMA / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Candidates with experience in manufacturing/industrial organizations and handling statutory compliance, taxation, audits, banking, MIS, and financial reporting will be preferred.
