Job summary

PeopleStrong in India is seeking a finance professional to handle project evaluation, asset accounting, GST compliance, and plant-related accounting activities. The role includes audit coordination, vendor management, and MIS reporting to ensure regulatory adherence and smooth financial operations.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to manage accounting processes and ensure timely, accurate financial information for management decisions.

Qualifications

• Project evaluation & accounting including budget proposals and asset accounting.
• Evaluation of routine capex proposals and monitoring.
• GST compliances and accounting for loan license manufacturing / jobwork.
• Drafting and reviewing legal agreements (Manpower, Loan licence, CMO, HR/Admin/IT related, confidentiality, consultants).
• Ensuring plant GST, Income tax, labour laws and factory related compliance.
• Monitoring plant accounting and MIS.
• Overseeing accounts payable, invoice processing and vendor ageing.
• Physical verification of Inventory and Assets.
• Review of month end expense accruals and freight provisions.
• Overseeing internal and statutory audits and government submissions.
• Tracking plant related legal matters.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Project evaluation & accounting which includes evaluation of projects budget proposals, paybacks, preparing management approval note, Asset accounting, invoice processing, capitalisation etc.
• Evaluation of routine capex proposals and monitoring.
• Monitoring of loan license manufacturing / jobwork transactions, its GST compliances and accounting processes.
• Drafting and reviewing Legal Agreements like Manpower agreement, Loan licence, CMO, HR/ Admin/ IT related agreements, confidentiality agreements, Consultants agreement etc.
• Ensuring Plant GST, Income tax, labour laws and factory related statutory compliances.
• Monitoring plant accounting and reviewing MISs.
• Overseeing Accounts payable function including invoice processing, payments, vendor ageing etc.
• Physical verification of Inventory and Assets.
• Review of month end expense accruals and freight Provisions entries.
• Development of system configurations in SAP required due to changes in law or business needs arises.
• Overseeing internal audits, statutory audits and other government submissions related work.
• Overseeing material movements from Plant like Scrap sales, stock transfers etc.
• Tracking of plant related legal matters.
