Job Description – Manager Finance & Accounts (For all group entities)
Core Responsibilities
- Looking after all group companies
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely closure of books on a monthly and annual basis.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, etc..
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including verification of vendor invoices, sales invoices, journal vouchers, and accounting entries.
- Oversee reconciliation of vendor accounts, customer accounts, and control accounts such as salary payable, ESI payable, PF payable, and other statutory liabilities.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and maintain depreciation schedules.
- Ensure timely payment to vendors and preparing MSME returns
- Reconciliation with all group companies on quarterly basis
MIS & Management Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of MIS reports on a monthly basis and as required by management.
- Develop and maintain standardized MIS dashboards covering revenue, expenses, profitability, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
- Provide variance analysis against budgets and prior periods with actionable insights.
- Support management decision‑making through analytical financial reports.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure timely and accurate data inputs for MIS reporting.
Compliance & Statutory Matters
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of statutory returns including GST, TDS, Advance Tax, Professional Tax, and other regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors, and consultants for audits and regulatory reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor and report cash flow and working capital metrics.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial discipline across the organization.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Operations & Coordination
- Work cross-functionally with business teams to support operational and financial reporting needs.
- Assist with consolidation of financial results across multiple entities (if applicable).
- Ensure proper documentation and record management.
Team Management & New developments
- Mentor, train, and supervise junior accounting staff.
- Assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct periodic team meetings to track progress and resolve issues.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Introduce the new system in accounts to streamline the process like use of power BI, AI and awareness of new tools for accuracy and time saving.
