Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Coimbatore is seeking a senior professional to lead all plant utility operations, including electrical systems, HVAC, chillers, DG sets, and water systems.

You will ensure 100% utility uptime to support uninterrupted production, develop preventive maintenance plans, and control energy costs while ensuring regulatory compliance and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Required experience: 7–15 years.
• Post graduate programme in project engineering and management (PGP PEM) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all plant utility operations including electrical systems, compressors, HVAC, chillers, DG sets, and water systems.
• Ensure 100% utility uptime to support uninterrupted production.
• Develop and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for all utility equipment.
• Control and optimize energy costs (electricity, diesel, water, compressed air).
• Ensure statutory compliance with electrical inspector, pollution control board, fire & safety regulations.
• Prepare annual utility budgets and manage cost reduction initiatives.
• Lead breakdown analysis (RCA) and implement corrective & preventive actions.
• Plan infrastructure capacity for new production lines and expansion projects.
• Manage vendor contracts, AMCs, and contractor performance.
• Drive sustainability initiatives such as solar power, energy efficiency projects, water conservation, and carbon footprint reduction.
