Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC is seeking a seasoned Facility Maintenance Engineer in Coimbatore to oversee AHU, electrical, fire protection and ESD systems. You will ensure daily utility availability and drive reliability across the plant.

You will execute PM plans, perform root-cause analysis for breakdowns, manage spare parts, monitor energy use, and coordinate new installations with cross-functional teams. BE holders with 5–10 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BE degree with 5–10 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Experience with AHU, electrical, fire protection and ESD systems.
• Proficient in CMMS and PM scheduling.
• Willingness to coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain AHU, electrical, fire protection and ESD systems.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day facility operations and utility availability.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) as per schedule and attend breakdowns within defined response time.
• Perform troubleshooting and RCA for recurring facility and equipment breakdowns.
• Maintain critical spare inventory and initiate spare requirements.
• Monitor energy and water consumption and identify conservation opportunities.
• Coordinate new machinery installation, utility connections, trial runs and commissioning.
• Plan facility requirements for equipment installation including power, air, exhaust, space and other utilities.
• Coordinate machinery unloading, shifting, positioning and safe movement within the facility.
• Identify and plan new facility requirements based on production and engineering needs.
• Implement CMMS and maintain maintenance records, PM schedules and work orders.
• Ensure 5S implementation in facility areas and close audit observations.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and cross-functional teams for facility-related activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, electrical, fire and ESD requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction and facility reliability initiatives.
