Job summary

ReNew is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end closures, and audit support. You will collaborate across a large energy business to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and timely insights.

The role requires 6-9 years of post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in renewable energy or related sectors. CA Inter/ CMA/ MBA Finance qualifications preferred; Bachelor's in Commerce mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field required.
  • 6-9 years post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts.
  • Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or large corporate environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • General Ledger accounting across entities; ensure compliance with Ind AS and statutory requirements.
  • Lead monthly/quarterly/annual close; prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and monitor intercompany transactions.
  • Coordinate with auditors; support SOX/internal control framework implementations.

Job Description
About the Role

The role will be responsible for managing General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, MIS preparation, month end closures, account reconciliations, and audit support. The ideal candidate will help ensure accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and timely business insights while partnering with stakeholders across the organization to drive operational excellence and process improvements.

Role and Responsibility
  1. General Ledger & Financial Accounting
    Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) accounting activities across assigned entities/business units.
    Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of accounting transactions in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and internal accounting policies.
    Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, reclassifications, and adjustments.
    Maintain chart of accounts and accounting master data integrity.
  2. Financial Closing & Reporting
    Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes within defined timelines.
    Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and management reports.
    Perform variance analysis and provide insights on key financial movements.
    Ensure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
  3. Reconciliations & Controls
    Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
    Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
    Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure adherence to SOX/internal control frameworks where applicable.
    Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in accounting operations.
  4. Audit & Compliance
    Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for smooth audit completion.
    Ensure timely submission of audit schedules and supporting documents.
    Support compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and regulatory reporting obligations.
    Assist in implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA, CS, or other relevant professional qualifications will be preferred

Experience

6-9 years of post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, power, EPC, manufacturing, or large corporate environments.
