Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Manager (EE, Advanced Structures) to lead electrical & electronics design for NPI, redesign and sustenance activities. You will manage a skilled team, set budgets and schedules, and drive technical risk mitigation to deliver avionics solutions.

The role requires deep expertise in analog/mixed-signal design, power electronics, and DO-254/D0-160 processes, with strong leadership and communication skills to partner with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of industry experience in leading power electronic design projects.
• Knowledge of DO-254 or equivalent from requirements to delivery including DO-160 qualification.
• Hands-on with documentation, presentations, task estimation and guiding team members.

• Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.

• Strong affinity towards technology & innovation and drives new technology ideas & development.
• Drive for continuous improvement.
• Sets goals and objectives for team members and conducts performance reviews.

Overview

In this role the Manager (EE, Advanced Structures) actively participate in NPI, redesign and sustenance activities on electrical & electronics design, development, verification, and validation.

• Manages, develops, and motivates a team of electrical & electronics engineers to deliver engineering solutions.
• Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.
• Performs project Planning, develops and administers budget, schedules and performance standards.
• Performs resource planning, analyses hiring requirements, metrics and trends to influence team strategy and performance
• Leads departmental initiatives to enhance organization process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electricals, instrumentation, communications with 13+ years of Industry experience with experience in leading power electronic product design and development projects
• Good knowledge on electronic product design and development process (DO-254 or equivalent), from requirement till delivery including product qualification (DO-160 or equivalent)
• strong technical background related product development to own the electrical design related to Analog and Mixed Signal , Low voltage power supply Design
• Hands on with document writing, Presentation, Project task efforts estimation, guiding team members.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electricals, instrumentation, communications
