Lotus Technicals Private Limited is seeking an experienced electrical and instrumentation engineer to lead conceptual, basic, and detailed design for industrial projects in electricals and instrumentation. You will perform power load calculations for HVAC, process, and utility equipment and translate them into SLDs and BOQs.

You will size transformers, DG sets, busbars, and panels, and review control and power panel drawings, ensuring compliance with client schemes and PM considerations.

Responsabilidades

• To design conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering for industrial electricals and instrumentation.
• Perform power load calculations for HVAC, process, utility, lighting, etc.
• Create electrical schemes from transformer to point of use and represent as SLD.
• Size equipment including transformer, DG set, busbar, and panels per load sheets and SLDs.
• Prepare, review, and approve detailed control and power panel SLDs with the PM department.
• Prepare cable schedules and determine switchgear ratings based on voltage drop calculations.
• Perform lighting calculations based on lux levels and environment requirements.
• Work on lighting designs and calculations using DIALux software.
• Design lightning arrestors and earthing layouts, grids, and pits.
• Cable tray sizing based on routing and loads.
• Review and coordinate with SCADA, BMS, and equipment operation for utilities and HVAC systems.
• Prepare, review, and approve BOQs and backup costings for components.
• Prepare technical specs and data sheets for electrical components and equipment.
• Review and approve RCP, switch socket locations, and light switch placements on layouts.
• Prepare procurement, delivery, and installation documentation with vendor coordination.
• Coordinate with PM on site issues and provide technical solutions with documentation.
• Ensure department deliverables are completed within client and project schedules.

Descripción del empleo

• 1. To work on conceptual design, basic design, anddetailed engineering of industrial projects in electricals and instrumentation.
• 2. To work on power load calculations based onequipment loads related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC),process equipment, utility equipment, lighting, etc.
• 3. To work on basic electrical schemes starting withthe transformer up to the point of use and represent the same in a Single LineDiagram (SLD).
• 4. To perform equipment sizing and selection relatedto electrical systems based on load sheets and SLDs, including transformerizing, Diesel Generator (DG) set sizing, busbar sizing, and panel sizing.
• 5. To prepare, review, and approve detailed controland power panel SLDs as per schemes agreed upon with the client and ProjectManagement Department.
• 6. To prepare cable schedules and determine switchgearratings based on voltage drop calculations.
• 7. To perform lighting calculations based on luxlevels and working environment requirements.
• 8. To perform and review lighting designs andcalculations using DIALux software.
• 9. To work on lightning arrestor design and earthingdesign, including routing, grids, and pits.
• 10. To work on cable tray sizing based on cable routingand cable loads.
• 11. To review and coordinate instrumentation systemsrelated to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), BuildingManagement System (BMS), operation of utilities, and HVAC systems.
• 12. To prepare, review, and approve the Bill of Quantities(BOQs), including backup costings and quotations for all components.
• 13. To prepare technical specifications and data sheetsfor all electrical components and equipment typically used in industrialprojects.
• 14. To review and approve the Remote Control Panel(RCP), switch socket locations, and light switch locations on layouts.
• 15. To complete all technical documentation needed forprocurement, delivery, and installation of components at the site, like designdata, technical specifications, design qualification, construction drawings,typical drawings, etc., involving vendor coordination.
• 16. To coordinate with the Project ManagementDepartment on various site-related issues, troubleshoot them, and providetechnical solutions within reasonable timelines along with properdocumentation.
• 17. To ensure completion of departmental deliverableswithin the timelines for work allotted as per schedules set by the ProjectManagement Department and the client.
