Job summary

Lotus Technicals Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced electrical site engineer to read, interpret, and execute the complete electrical scope as per SLDs and project specifications.

You will verify BOQs, coordinate with PMs, and lead daily site activities to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery. The role requires strong coordination with contractors and clients, meticulous documentation, and the ability to resolve drawing discrepancies while ensuring compliance with standards and approved

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• To read and understand the complete electrical systemscope, project specifications, and project details as per the Single LineDiagrams (SLDs).
• To verify the Bills of Quantities (BOQs) against approveddrawings and materials available at the site.
• Toidentify and highlight material, quantity,scope, and specification variances to the Project Manager and coordinate withthe concerned teams for their timely resolution.
• To review and verify all construction drawings againstactual site conditions.
• To identify discrepancies in drawings and site-relatedissues and report them to the Project Manager.
• To coordinate with the Project Management Team forchanges in construction drawings in consultation with the site Project Manager.
• To ensure that no work is executed without approvedconstruction drawings and relevant documents suitable for actual siteconditions.
• To ensure that the site is equipped with therequired manpower, utilities, tools, tackles, equipment, consumables, andmaterials for execution of electrical works.
• To brief the team members on the daily work activitiesas per the approved work schedule.
• To supervise andmonitor the installation of the complete electrical system, including panels,cable trays, cable laying, terminations, transformers, Diesel Generator (DG)sets, pumps, light fixtures, earthing systems, etc.
• To obtain andreview daily work reports from team members, identify and highlight deviationsfrom the construction drawings, and instruct them regarding the required correctiveactions.
• To verify theinstallation work carried out by team members on a daily basis and ensure that necessarycorrections, if any, are completed.
• To assist teammembers in identifying the appropriate BOQ items and coordinate with the projectmanagement team to obtain the required materials for daily work activities.
• To ensure thatteam members execute work at the site in accordance with the required quality, productivity,and safety standards.
• To comply withand ensure adherence to all applicable workplace and safety norms at the site.
• To attend sitemeetings regularly and keep the Project Manager informed about site issues, proposedresolutions, work schedules, progress, andother site-related matters.
• To preparedaily site reports detailing the work completed and monitor progress againstthe project plan.
• To report anychanges or deviations, along with appropriate explanations for delays or othervariations.
• To monitor theattendance of the workmen at the site and ensure that they work as per the stipulatedworking hours.
• To prepare thestage-wise work-completion reports and obtain the client’s approval forcompleted activities, wherever required.
• To ensure thatthe tools and tackles are handled properly, maintained in good condition, andnot misplaced at the site.
• To progressivelyprepare as-built drawings based on the work executed and obtain the client’s acknowledgementsfor completed activities.
• To coordinatewith the client, the project management team, and the Project Manager regardingany unforeseen circumstances that may arise at the site and obtain the necessaryapproval before making decisions that affect the project scope, cost, quality,or schedule.
• To reviewinspection reports and quality-control records for completed and ongoingproject activities.
• To coordinateand supervise the testing, inspection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning ofelectrical systems and equipment.
• To ensure thatelectrical installations comply with approved drawings, technicalspecifications, applicable statutory requirements, and relevant electricalstandards and codes.
• To coordinatewith other disciplines, including HVAC, utility, civil, and automation, toresolve interface and execution-related issues at the site.
• To ensure thatinspection requests, checklists, test reports, and other required electricaldocumentation are prepared, submitted, and maintained.
• To support theProject Manager in planning electrical activities, resource requirements,execution strategies, and recovery plans for delayed or critical activities.
• To identifypotential technical and execution risks at the site and proactively coordinatewith the concerned teams for their mitigation and timely resolution.
• To ensureproper handover of completed electrical systems, including testing records,inspection reports, as-built drawings, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documents,and other required project documentation.
• To providetechnical support during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities andcoordinate with the client, consultants, vendors, and other project teams for thesuccessful handover of electrical systems.
• To verifymeasurements and quantities of electrical work executed at the site againstapproved drawings and BOQs and provide the required inputs for contractorbilling, wherever applicable.
