Aufgaben

• Design and engineering of large-scale solar PV projects (utility-scale).
• Prepare detailed designs, SLDs, GA drawings, cable sizing, equipment foundations and layouts.
• Preparation of complete BOQ for utility scale solar projects.
• Work on optimization of system design and BOQ for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• DC design engineering coordination with civil & structural teams.
• AC design engineering including inverter output, LT/HT panels, transformers and grid interface.

Experience

• 10 years total experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Solar PV project design
• Experience in utility-scale solar projects (50 MWac) preferred

Role Objective

To independently design, review, and deliver complete DC & AC engineering for large-scale solar PV projects, ensuring technical compliance, constructability, safety, and cost optimization across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design and engineering of large-scale solar PV projects (utility-scale).
• Prepare detailed designs, single line diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement drawings, cable sizing, equipment foundation Design & drawings, and layouts etc.
• Preparation of complete bill of quantities (BOQ) for utility scale solar projects
• Work on optimization of system design and BOQ for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

DC Design Engineering

• DC system design including: String sizing, module configuration, inverter loading
• DC cable sizing, voltage drop & loss calculations
• PV array layout optimization considering terrain, shading & wind loads
• Coordination of MMS (fixed/trackers) with civil & structural teams

AC Design Engineering

• AC system design including: Inverter output, LT/HT panels, transformers
• AC cable sizing, protection schemes
• Interface engineering with pooling substations & grid connectivity
• Support AC side integration with SCADA & monitoring systems

Design calculations

• DC/AC losses, short circuit, protection coordination
• Ensure compliance with CEA, IEC, IS codes, DISCOM/STU/CTU requirements

Key Skills & Tools

• PVsyst/Helios, AutoCAD (mandatory)
• ETAP / SKM / Excel (preferred)
• Strong understanding of solar EPC execution
