Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager – Civil Design will lead the Civil & Structural Design function for utility-scale Solar PV projects or BESS. The position requires a senior engineering professional capable of managing the complete civil design lifecycle, starting from pre-bid engineering, feasibility and concept development through optimization and detailed engineering.
The role will be responsible for developing technically robust, cost-effective and constructible civil and structural solutions for large-scale solar & BESS projects, while ensuring coordination between Project Execution, consultants, clients and Owners’ Engineers.
Core Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to provide technical leadership and governance for all Civil & Structural Engineering activities associated with solar or BESS projects.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Particular emphasis will be placed on reviewing topographical surveys, geotechnical investigations, hydrology studies, soil parameters and pile-test results and translating these inputs into appropriate site-specific foundation and civil solutions. Effective interfaces between Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical disciplines will also be critical.
