Job summary

Shree Management Placement Servives is seeking an experienced foundry tooling designer to lead a team of 10 engineers in SG Iron/Gray Iron automotive casting tooling design.

The role covers tool design for vertical and horizontal moulding machines, domestic and global customer liaison, and use of casting simulation software (AdSTEFAN); GD&T and basic machining knowledge, gating design, and tool cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Experience in design of foundry tooling in SG Iron / Gray Iron automotive casting.
• Tool design experience for Vertical & Horizontal moulding machine.
• Experience in handling domestic & Global customers.
• Casting simulation software, preferably in AdSTEFAN.
• GD&T and basic component machining knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers (up to 10) in foundry tooling design for SG Iron / Gray Iron automotive casting.
• Design tooling for vertical and horizontal moulding machines.
• Engage with domestic and global customers for tooling requirements.
• Utilize casting simulation software (AdSTEFAN) to optimize designs.
• Apply GD&T and basic machining knowledge to tooling.
• Develop gating designs for vertical and horizontal lines.
• Estimate foundry tool cost and manage tooling vendors.
