Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (Automotive and Farm Equipment) Bengaluru invites an experienced mechanical engineer for end-to-end product and supplier development. You will drive APQP, develop critical automotive commodities, and manage vendor selection with BOM cost estimations.

The role covers Make vs Buy analysis, PFMEA, Control Plans, GD&T and capacity sign-offs, with travel for supplier assessments. Requires 8–10 years in the auto sector and BE Mech with MBA specialization.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical Engineering with MBA in Materials or Supply Chain.
• 8–10 years of automotive experience with supplier development and NPD.
• Exposure to PFMEA, Control Plan and GD&T proficiency.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development through APQP and CDMM DE Role.
• Develop suspension, tyre, brakes, axle, casting and forging commodities.
• Vendor development and management, SBC, ZBC, capex budgeting, BOM cost estimation.
• Supplier assessment and selection audits.
• Make vs Buy analysis with stakeholders and sign-off.
• Manufacturing feasibility, FTG planning and FTG buy-off.
• Ensure part development per project and MEPDS processes (Proto, Tooling, PPAP).
• Run at rate/capacity establishment per projections and sign-off.
• PFMEA, Control Plan, quality tools and problem solving (GD&T).

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• 1) New Product Development through APQP , CDMM DE Role
• 2) Hands on experience of developing Suspension , Tyre , Brakes , Axle , Casting and Forging commodities
• 3) In depth Knowledge on Vendor development , Vendor management , SBC , ZBC , Capex Budgeting, BOM cost estimation,Capacity anylisis.
• 4) Worked in Supplier accesment and Supplier selction audits
• 5) Doing technical synthesis , Make Vs Buy anylisis and doing sign off with stake holders
• 6) Conducting Manufacturing Feasibility study,FTG planing , FTG buy off.
• 7) Ensuring Part development as per Project requirements and adhering to MEPDS process e,g Proto,Tooled up , PPAP Approved
• 8) Establishment of Run at rate / Capacity as per volume Projections and capacity sign off
• 9) Strong understanding on PFMEA,Control Plan , Quality tools , PRoblem Solving technicques , GD&T,etc
