Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Product Cost Management, Should Costing, Manufacturing Cost Analysis, Design-to-Cost.
• Strong procurement consulting or cost engineering background.
• Excellent commercial understanding: impact of procurement decisions on EBITDA and KPIs.
• Experience managing multiple consulting or transformation projects.
• Ability to work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Finance teams.

As part of our continued global growth, we are expanding our Procurement Consulting capability and are looking for an experienced Manager – Cost Engineering & Procurement Consulting to support international client engagements from our India office.

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Product Cost Engineering, Manufacturing Cost Analysis, Should Costing and Value Engineering who are looking to transition into a client-facing consulting environment.

Working alongside experienced consulting professionals, you will support domestic and international client engagements focused on procurement transformation, cost optimisation, operational improvement and value creation.

This is not a traditional procurement sourcing role. The role requires strong analytical capability combined with engineering-based product costing expertise to help clients optimise product costs, manufacturing processes and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manager, you will contribute to a diverse range of Procurement Consulting engagements, including:

• Assessing current procurement processes and collaborating with client stakeholders to understand business priorities.
• Identifying improvement opportunities by analysing procurement, logistics, planning and distribution processes.
• Designing and implementing procurement strategies that improve EBITDA, working capital and operational performance.
• Conducting supplier evaluations, benchmarking exercises and supporting commercial negotiations.
• Preparing spend analysis, forecasts and procurement reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Working closely with senior client stakeholders including Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations leadership.
• Supporting procurement transformation, organisational change and acquisition integration initiatives.
• Contributing to business development, proposals and practice growth alongside senior leadership.

A significant part of the role involves hands-on Product Cost Engineering activities, including:

• Product Cost Calculations
• Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and analysis
• Product teardown and cost breakdown analysis
• Manufacturing process mapping
• Cycle time calculationsMachine and equipment sizing
• Material cost research
• Purchased component cost analysis
• Presenting cost models and findings to clients

What We're Looking For

5+ years of prior relevant work experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

• Product Cost Management
• Should Costing
• Manufacturing Cost Analysis
• Design-to-Cost
• Bill of Materials (BOM) Analysis
• Zero-Based Costing

In addition, you should possess:

• Strong Procurement Consulting or Cost Engineering experience.
• Excellent commercial understanding, including the impact of procurement decisions on EBITDA, working capital and operational KPIs.
• Experience managing multiple consulting or transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Finance teams.
