Role Overview
Interpath Advisory, a leading financial advisory business, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Integration team within the Integration practice. This is a mid‑level role for a candidate able to lead complex integration, carve‑out and internal projects governance workstreams end‑to‑end to provide genuine analytical and advisory depth. Interpath’s unique approach combines the agility and energy of a young organisation with the quality and experience of a Big4 firm. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted advisor to Interpath stakeholders, shaping the governance and structure of large‑scale M&A integrations and internal initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Structure and maintain the M&A Integration Plan: timeline, risk and dependency logs, deliverables monitoring, and governance reporting
- Coordinate and challenge cross‑functional workstream leads (IT, Finance, HR, Operations, Legal, Real Estate, Procurement) to ensure milestones and interdependencies are managed proactively
- Independently identify process, tooling, and organisational gaps, and propose harmonisation or remediation actions for review by senior team members
- Lead and facilitate functional‑level working calls and prepare materials for steering committee discussions
- Support change management activities and ensure clear, consistent communication between entities
- Provide analytical support on integration/separation topics such as synergy tracking, TSA monitoring, and risk quantification
- Produce clear, high‑quality client deliverables, presentations, reports, and recommendations across integration, transformation, and onboarding engagements
- Conduct business and operational diagnostics, including process mapping, stakeholder interviews, and current‑state assessments to support integration and transformation initiatives
- Support the development of operating models, governance frameworks, and target‑state processes for acquired businesses and transformation programmes
Technical Skills
- Background in Integration & Separation (I&S) or Core Consulting, with strong analytical skills beyond pure project coordination
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel with limited supervision
- Good understanding of risk, dependency, and business impact analysis
- Proficiency in project management and reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint; project trackers a plus)
Soft Skills
- Highly autonomous working style, comfortable taking ownership of workstreams with minimal day‑to‑day direction
- Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with cross‑functional and senior stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in global and multicultural contexts
- High resilience and adaptability in fast‑changing M&A environments
- Strong organisation, rigour, agility, and an analytical mindset
- Discretion and professionalism, given regular exposure to senior leadership and confidential information
Profile
- Typically, 5+ years in M&A integration, carve‑out/separation, or core strategy consulting
- Background in Integration & Separation (I&S) practices or Core Consulting preferred; candidates with exceptional autonomy and analytical strength at Manager level will also be considered
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; certifications (PMP, Prince2, Agile) a plus
- Highly proficient in professional English communication
