Job summary

SAEL Industries Limited in Delhi seeks a Manager (Civil Materials Procurement) to lead end-to-end sourcing of cement, steel, sand, aggregates and related building materials. You will develop procurement strategies, negotiate with vendors, and coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and budgets.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in civil material procurement, strong vendor networks, SAP/ERP experience, and proven cost-control and MIS reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in civil construction material procurement.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, specifications and market rates.
• Proven vendor development, rate negotiation and strategic sourcing.
• Hands-on SAP/ERP usage, procurement processes and MIS reporting.
• Strong commercial, analytical and cost-control skills.

1. Manage end-to-end procurement of civil construction materials such as cement, steel, sand, aggregates, RMC, blocks and other building materials.
2. Develop procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials as per project requirements.
3. Identify, evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
4. Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules to achieve cost optimization.
5. Coordinate with project, planning, engineering and site teams for material requirements.
6. Ensure quality compliance of procured materials as per approved specifications and project standards.
7. Manage purchase orders, contracts, delivery schedules and supplier performance.
8. Monitor market rates, maintain procurement budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives.
9. Ensure proper inventory control and avoid material shortages or excess stock at project sites.
10. Maintain procurement records, MIS reports and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1015 years of experience in civil construction material procurement, preferably in infrastructure, real estate or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, specifications, quality standards and market rates.
• Proven experience in vendor development, rate negotiation and strategic sourcing.
• Hands-on experience in SAP/ERP, procurement processes and MIS reporting.
