Job description

Role Purpose

To lead the technical support function for the animal feed business by providing scientific, nutritional, and farm management guidance to farmers, distributors, and sales teams, thereby improving animal productivity, farmer engagement, and feed sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Advisory & Farmer Support: Provide technical guidance on cattle nutrition, feed usage, and herd management to farmers and channel partners. Conduct farm visits and animal health/productivity assessments. Support farmers in improving milk yield, feed conversion efficiency, and herd health.
• Sales Team Technical Enablement: Work closely with the sales team to support product positioning and farmer conversion. Provide technical solutions during field demonstrations, farmer meetings, and product trials. Assist sales teams in addressing farmer technical queries and objections.
• Team Leadership: Lead and guide the technical support team across assigned regions. Plan and monitor field activities, farm visits, and technical programs. Build technical capabilities of the team through training and knowledge sharing.
• Farmer Engagement Programs: Organize farmer meetings, training programs, veterinary camps, and productivity improvement initiatives. Conduct demonstration trials and awareness programs on scientific feeding practices.
• Product Development & Feedback: Collect field feedback on product performance, animal response, and farmer needs. Work with R&D and product teams for feed formulation improvements and new product initiatives.
• Data & Reporting: Track farm productivity improvements and impact of technical interventions. Prepare periodic reports on farmer engagement, technical programs, and field learnings.
• Cross Functional Coordination: Coordinate with sales, marketing, supply chain, and R&D teams for effective market support and product promotion.
